Hailing from Newmarket, Ontario, Bordeen has created their own niche in Canadian music, combining an eclectic mix of new pop, southern rock, and old school harmonies.  Satisfying rock and pop lovers alike on their self-titled 2013 release, Bordeen tell the stories of love, loss, hardship, compassion, and communication with their single “Don’t Close Your Eyes,” which is accompanied by an imaginative lyric video.

Compared to bands such as “Walk Off the Earth, fun.,  The Lumineers,” (Razmataz Magazine),  Imagine Dragons, and The Killers, Bordeen’s, “music is indie rock with elements of blues and pop topped with melodic harmonies that make the whole listening experience pleasant and uplifting.” (View the Vibe) The “Don’t Close Your Eyes” video cleverly  utilizes Scrabble pieces and stop animation  to spell out the song’s lyrics and is an eye-catching clip backed by, “strong harmonies, ensemble musicianship,  and keen ears for hooks and strong song material.” (New Canadian Music)

Already receiving buzz  and airplay on radio stations across Canada, Bordeen’s infectious songwriting and pop sensibilities will surely garner the attention of international audiences.
