New York, NY – (February 14, 2011) – Musician and HOUSEROBICS originator, Cherie Lily, premieres the music video for her energetic track “WERK” on the morning of Tuesday, February 15th on AOL Music’s premiere indie-music site SPINNER.com.
Cherie Lily engages fans with a golden, glammed up, and glitzified music video featuring a slew of New York City nightlife characters, created in collaboration with director Tessa Greenberg.
New York City’s hottest names from the cutting edge music and LGBTQ scenes appear in the “WERK” music video, including (in alphabetical order) Andrew W.K., Artist Baron, Bad Brilliance, Clifton Brown Jr., DJ NITA, Erickatoure Aviance, Josel Ramirez, Mila Jam, Narcissister, Nasty Ness, Omar Alexander, One-Half Nelson, Planet Rump, Tayisha Busay and Taylor Derwin.
Most recently, Cherie Lily has been performing in Australia alongside her rocker husband Andrew W.K. at The Big Day Out Festival. On New Year’s Eve, Cherie Lily celebrated with a special performance at Angel Orensanz Synagogue for the FV Events 2nd Annual Black & White Ball. “WERK” THE REMIX EP, which released on October 12th via Steev Mike, consists of the upbeat title track, which was written, recorded, and produced by the lovely Cherie Lily, and six remixes by a host of DJs and artists like PRINCESS SUPERSTAR, DJ NITA, and SICKBOY.
