(New York, NY – Oct 22, 2010) – International Pop Icon Kylie Minogue’s new single “Get Outta My Way” hit the top of the Billboard Club Chart this week, marking her second consecutive #1 Billboard Club single from new album Aphrodite, following the smash “All The Lovers.” This is Kylie’s fifth #1 club single to date, joining an illustrious list of chart-toppers including “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head,” “Love At First Sight,” and “Slow.” Kylie will promote “Get Outta My Way” in the U.S. next week with a performance on ABC’s “Dancing With The Stars” on Oct. 26th and on NBC’s “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno” on Oct. 27th. She will also appear on ABC’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” on Nov. 7th. “Get Outta My Way” impacts mainstream radio on Nov. 1st and a suite of remixes are currently available on all digital download stores.
While in Los Angeles, Kylie will also host amfAR’s Inspiration Gala, celebrating Men’s style on Oct. 27th at the Chateau Marmot. The event will feature cocktails, dinner, men’s fashion presentations created exclusively for the Inspiration Gala by Jean Paul Gaultier and DSquared², a special burlesque performance by Dita Von Teese, and a live auction of donated fashion pieces and luxury items. This will mark the third event in the Inspiration series, which celebrates all aspects of men’s style. Kylie’s new album Aphrodite was released in July and debuted at #19 in the U.S., marking her highest U.S. chart position since 2002’s Fever. Aphrodite became Kylie’s fifth #1 album in the UK, hitting the top spot a full 22 years to the week since her debut album Kylie entered the chart. The album also made Kylie the first solo artist in the history of the UK charts to have a #1 album in four different decades. Around the globe Aphrodite debuted in the top 10 in thirteen different countries.
Kylie will begin the “Aphrodite – Les Folies 2011” world tour in Denmark on February 19th. In the Fall of 2009 Kylie stormed America to sell out her first ever North American tour. The 6-city tour kicked off in Oakland and made stops in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto and New York. No U.S. dates for the “Aphrodite – Les Folies 2011” tour have been announced, however Kylie told Access Hollywood earlier this year that she intends to tour America again.
