Multi-platinum band +LIVE+–who have just released their first new single in 10 years, “Love Lounge”—is gearing up for a busy summer. In addition to their 40+ date tour alongside Counting Crows on the “25 Years And Counting” Tour, the band will also be performing select headlining dates including a show in GRAND RAPIDS on MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 3 at the FREDERIK MEIJER GARDENS.
2017 marked a triumphant and critically acclaimed return for the reunited original lineup of +LIVE+—Ed Kowalczyk (vocals, guitar), Chad Taylor (guitar, backing vocals), Patrick Dahlheimer (bass) and Chad Gracey (drums, percussion)—with the band performing at major festivals, such as Austin City Limits and Lollapalooza, a run of arena dates with Guns N’ Roses, and select solo headlining shows, across five different countries.
+LIVE+ released “Love Lounge,” their first new single in 10 years, on June 22. The song first debuted on RollingStone.com with writer Ryan Reed raving, calling it “thunderous” and noting that “Kowalczyk alternates between a muted, bluesy rumble and a full-throated roar on the track, singing over psychedelic guitar leads, swooshing hi-hats and layers of distortion.” Listen to “Love Lounge” on Spotify HERE and watch the official lyric video HERE. On July 11, the band released the official music video for “Love Lounge,” which distinctly bottles the band’s legendary live power and prowess into a frenetic and fiery visual companion; watch it HERE.
Taken from the band’s upcoming EP (release date TBA), “Love Lounge”—available via Kavalry Records—sonically hits hard right out of the gate and lyrically explores the dichotomy of love and fear. The track, produced by Taylor and mixed by Tim Palmer, also features the two touring members of +LIVE+: second guitarist (Zak Loy) and second drummer (Robin Diaz).
