(June 16th, 2011 — New York, NY) — Astralwerks Records dynamic duoNERVO hit the road with pop royalty Britney Spears as opening act on her all female Femme Fatale tour starting today in Sacramento, CA. The UK based, Australian born twin sisters, Liv and Mim Nervo will also begin a summer DJ residency called Nervo Nights for the Wynn Hotel chain in Las Vegas, NV on June 21st, DJ a set at Electric Daisy Carnival on June 25thand play some solo shows throughout the summer. On August 14th, the girls will join the line up with some of the hottest names in electronic music on the Identity Festival headlined by superstar DJ Kaskade (full tour schedule below).
NERVO are fast emerging as the most sought-after DJ duo in dance music. They are a feisty tag-team that is quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with on the club scene worldwide. They have been making serious waves on both sides of the Atlantic with their infectious blend of chunky, sexed-up electro-house, becoming a featured attraction in clubs and at festivals around the globe from Ibiza to London to NYC, Miami, Vegas, the Far East and their native Australia. Highlights to date include Ultra Festival and Lollapalooza in 2010 and multiple gigs at the 2010 & 2011 Winter Music Conference. Last November they embarked on their first ever bus tour in North America as part of Paul Oakenfold’s Facelift Tour.
NERVO are a unique, rising talent: hit songwriters, producers, and DJ’s whose skills have attracted some of pop music’s hottest artists, who are drawn to the girls’ poignant lyrics, indelible melodies, and bold, sassy electro-pop sound that bridges the gap between the underground and the mainstream. Equally at home in the pop world as they are in the electronic dance scene, they emerged as hit songwriters just two years ago when they co-penned David Guetta’s Grammy-winning, break-through global hit “When Love Takes Over” featuring Kelly Rowland. Their growing list of credits with some of pop’s biggest stars include writing for Ke$ha, The Pussycat Dolls and Kylie Minogue, while their club productions features collaborations with luminaries such as Avicci, Deadmau5, Armin van Buuren, Afrojack and Steve Aoki. NERVO produced the UK club chart topper “Irresistible” featuring Ollie James which was released last year on Armada Music, and have just delivered a stellar big room remix of the new Kylie Minogue club smash “Put Your Hands Up”, which they also co-wrote. Since landing a deal with Virgin America/Astralwerks as artists in 2010, they have been working on their debut album – where they not only write and produce but will step into the spotlight and perform. They are expected to release their first EP in the coming weeks.
