Now, Now release Neighbors REMIX EP

Minneapolis trio Now, Now are excited to announce the May 3rd release of their Neighbors Remix EP on No Sleep Records. The EP features remixes of all the original songs found on the December 2010 release, re-arranged and re-imagined by the band’s drummer/instrumentalist Brad Hale. Following the release, this May the band head into the studio to record their sophomore LP with accomplished producer Howard Redekopp, known for his work with artists ranging from Tegan & Sara and New Pornographers, to An Horse and 2011 Juno Award Winners Said The Whale.

The idea behind the remix EP came about while on the road for the better part of this winter/spring.  Now, Now set a grueling pace, touring non-stop from December 2010 through early April 2011. With his downtime in the van, Brad, who might surprise some fans in revealing that he is a huge fan of dance music, began playing around with the songs on their Neighbors EP. The remixed versions of the songs bring a new dimension to the music, taking the fuzzed out ebb and sway of the original compositions and injecting them with high-energy electronica.  The ethereal vocals of Cacie Dalager and Jess Abbott are perfectly complimented in this new setting, lending a softer contrast to hard-edged beats.

With their early 2011 touring behind them, Now, Now eagerly looking forward to working on their sophomore album with producer Howard Redekopp. The band will spend most of May recording the new album in Vancouver Canada, and plan to release the record in late 2011.
