Tony Lucca – New Tour Dates, Appearance on “Parenthood”

Appearance On NBC’s “Parenthood” Aired January 11th

LA-based singer-songwriter Tony Lucca continues his tour in support of his latest album, “Rendezvous With The Angels,” with a slew of new dates planned for this winter, including some with labelmate Jerad Finck.  (See full tour schedule below.)  After touring with labelmate Ernie Halter last summer and fresh off of the second annual TFDI tour (a musical trek he shared with Matt Duke and Jay Nash), Lucca recently participated in The Rock Boat XI ( and made a cameo appearance on the hit NBC show “Parenthood,” where he performed his song “Like Love.”

“Rendezvous With The Angels,” Lucca’s sixth studio album, was released on July 13, 2010, and finds Lucca crafting his most thoughtful, tuneful, and mature work yet.  Most of the record was recorded in the fall of 2009 by Ron Probst — who also served as executive producer of the album with his wife Linda — at Mitch Easter’s Winston-Salem, North Carolina, studio, the Fidelitorium. Four tracks – “Long Love Letter,” “Make You Mine,” “Love Light,” and “Anchored” – were cut by producer Todd Beauchamp at his Vienna Circle Studios in Los Angeles. The album includes appearances by Lucca’s 2009 tour mate Sara Bareilles (who duets on “Back to Me”) and Lady Antebellum guitarist Jason “Slim” Gambill (featured on the bonus track “Nobody But You”).

After appearing on the “Mickey Mouse Club” for six years in the early ’90s, Lucca went the Internet route and sold his first two independent releases, his debut “So Satisfied” (1997) and the follow-up “Strong Words, Softly Spoken” (1999), through his own website. His first commercially distributed album, “Shotgun,” arrived in 2004. It was succeeded by his Rock Ridge Music debut “Canyon Songs” (2006) and “Come Around Again” (2008).  His songs have been featured on TV’s “Friday Night Lights,” “Brothers & Sisters,” “Shark,” and “Felicity” and in Kevin Costner’s feature “Open Range.” He has been seen on E! Entertainment Television and A&E, and performed numerous times on NBC’s “Last Call With Carson Daly.”  Over the course of his career, Lucca has shared stages with the likes of *Nsync, Marc Anthony, Macy Gray, Johnny Lang, the late Chris Whitley, Bareilles, Tyrone Wells, and many others.
